Building a Relationship With the Community
Everyone knows how to contact the Police in an emergency, but many are unsure whom to contact in non-emergency situations. People with questions or concerns may be reluctant to call because they don't want to "bother" the Police. Each of our Officers has been assigned to a different neighborhood in our community. Every area is covered and the Officer assigned to your neighborhood is your contact person for any non-emergency question, problem or suggestion that you may have. If you need assistance with any "quality of life" issues, or if you need assistance from any other Township Agency, our Officers will do their best to assist you.
This program is one-of-a-kind, and there is no doubt it will benefit both our residents and the Police. It will allow you to know the Officers more informally and give you access to an "open line of communication" with your Police Department. Again we would like to point out that this program is for non-emergencies. Feel free to contact your specific Liaison Officer for your neighborhood. If they are not available, simply leave them a message or send an email. They will call you back, or stop by to see you as soon as possible. We are looking forward to working with you to help make our Community a better place to live.
