The Administrative Sergeant is responsible for the development and distribution of new and revised policies, procedures, and written directives. Policies are routinely updated based on newly issued or revised guidelines from the State Attorney General, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, and direction from local legislative authority. The Department utilizes a web-based system, Power DMS, to manage department policy.
The department is actively pursuing accreditation through the NJ State Chiefs of Police Association, Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (L.E.A.P.).
