On February 6th, there was a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Tens of thousands of people have lost their lives as a result of this natural disaster and thousands of people have lost their homes and are living in temporary shelters.
Mayor Luccarelli and the Township Committee have initiated a relief drive to collect donations of urgently-needed supplies for those who were affected by the earthquake.
Beginning on Friday, February 17, 2023, Holmdel residents are invited to drop off donated items to a designated area in the Town Hall lobby (4 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, NJ). Items will be shipped to the earthquake recovery area via the Turkish Consulate in New York.
NOTE: In order to expedite shipping and ensure that items are delivered, at this time it is asked that you ONLY donate the kinds of items that are requested.
The Mayor and Township Committee thank you in advance for your generous support of this relief drive.
